What the sheet says
The caption, exactly as the sheet prints it:
RUINS OF THE LAST BLOCKHOUSE OF OLD FORT WAYNE, IN 1852.
The page names the people in it: John Fairfield at the top, and below him Amanda Henderson, Addie Fairfield, Priscilla Fairfield, Hannah Fairfield and Charley Munson. The building was torn down by John Fairfield in 1852.
What it is
Pen drawing, after a daguerreotype. Nobody bought this plate.
A pen drawing, not a photograph. The plate itself says FROM A DAGUERREOTYPE OWNED BY MRS. ADAM LINK, and the page under it says that daguerreotype was the only photograph of any building of the old fort. So this drawing is now the only way that photograph can be seen.
