Every plate runs whole and uncropped except at its own printed border. Each one says where it came from, which leaf of which scan it was taken off, what was done to it, and what may be done with it.

The 1898 atlas holds far more than the two plates here. Six two-page maps of the city, a plate for every township and a plat for every village are all in the same volume, and they are listed in the follow-ups as work not yet done rather than left unmentioned.
There is no street index. The plates letter their streets and nothing here reads them yet.
